DJ Big Stew has been a leader in New York’s independent music and film industries since 1997. He has assisted hundreds of recording artists with their music in the studio for over two decades and it eventually lead him into the film industry. Out of the studio, Stew also had a successful New York TV show Fat Cat and Big Stew which was notorious for interviewing top artists such as the Ying Yang Twins, Fat Joe, and Snoop Dogg.  
I caught up with Dj Big Stew at the screening of his latest a documentary "The Uncelebrated Pioneer" a film about Harlem New York's contribution to the beginning of Hip Hop culture.
